The HP DisplayPort to VGA Adapter allows devices that have DisplayPort output to be connected to monitors, projectors, or other displays with analog VGA input. Please note this device will not perform a conversion--the graphics card in the host will need to support analog output, and will also need to be able to supply a resolution and frequency (refresh rate) the receiving device supports.
